Forum Guidelines and Terms of Use: Please Read First
In order to benefit from the content available on our forums and make your participation a pleasant experience, please read the following information before posting your questions:
1. Read the "Terms of Use" statement below.
2. Search the forum prior to posting, your question may already be answered.
3. For support questions: Provide your Operating System version (including service pack, if applicable).
4. We welcome everyone’s participation. If you've got an answer, please feel free to share it with the rest of our community.
5. Posts not related to the development of Pokeroid will be deleted. This rule was added due to users registering and posting links to their poker sites.
Terms of Use
Acceptance of terms
Pokeroid makes the user forums (the "Site") available for your use subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. By accessing or using this Site in any way, including, posting to the user forums, downloading any materials, or merely browsing the Site, you agree to and are bound by the terms of this Agreement.
Pokeroid reserves the right to change the terms of this Agreement and other guidelines or rules posted on the Site from time to time at its sole discretion and without notice to you.
Use of the Site
You may submit content to the Site that is (a) owned by you; (b) submitted with the express permission of the owner or within the scope of the license to submit such content; or © in the public domain. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from this Site any unlawful, threatening, harassing, libelous, offensive, objectionable, defamatory, or obscene materials, or other materials that would violate any law or the rights of others, including, without limitation, laws against copyright infringement, and rights of privacy and publicity. Violation of these restrictions may result in denial of or limitations on access by you to this Site. The determination of whether any posting is in violation of these Terms of Use shall be within the sole discretion of Pokeroid.
User conduct
In using the Site, including all Services and Materials available through it, you agree:
- not to disrupt or interfere with any other user's enjoyment of the Site or affiliated or linked sites;
- not to upload, post, or otherwise transmit through the Site any viruses or other harmful, disruptive, or destructive files;
- not to create a false identity;
- not to use or attempt to use another's account, and password to submit content to the Site;
- not to access or attempt to access any content which you are not authorized to access;
- not to disrupt or interfere with the security of, or otherwise cause harm to, the Site, or any services, materials, system resources, accounts, passwords, servers, or networks connected to or accessible through the Site or any affiliated or linked sites.
Managing content and communications
Although it is not our intention to do so, Pokeroid reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to delete or remove user content from the Site and to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or part of this Site, at any time if we have cause to do so (including, without limitation, our good faith belief that you have violated the terms of this Agreement) without prior notice or liability. In addition, Pokeroid reserves the right to delete or remove content if the relevant subscription has expired or lapsed or if Pokeroid has a good faith belief that the user posting such Content has violated the terms of the Agreement, or any law or regulation, or that such deletion or removal is necessary to comply with the law or to protect the rights of Pokeroid or others.
Pokeroid may, but is not obligated to, monitor or review (i) any areas on the Site where users transmit or post content, including but not limited to areas where services are available, or chat rooms, bulletin boards, or other user forums; and (ii) the substance of any user content. Note that it is not possible for Pokeroid to confirm the validity of posts on the Site. Pokeroid does not actively monitor the posted messages and is not responsible for the content of any submissions to the Site. Pokeroid does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express the views of the author and not necessarily the views of the forum and/or Pokeroid. Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator of this forum immediately. Although Pokeroid reserves the right to remove objectionable content within a reasonable time frame and if deemed necessary, this is a manual process. Pokeroid may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pokeroid will have no liability related to user content arising under the laws of copyright, libel, privacy, obscenity, or otherwise. Pokeroid also disclaims all liability with respect to the misuse, loss, modification, or unavailability of any user content. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and submissions, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless this forum, Pokeroid, and any related websites to this forum and/or Site from and against any damages and costs suffered by Pokeroid in connection with any claims, actions, proceedings, or demands brought by parties arising out of or relating to your actions and any content submissions by you to this Site.
Use and protection of account number and password
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account number, account name, and/or password, if applicable. You are responsible for damages resulting from all uses of your account number, account name, and/or password, whether actually or expressly authorized by you, unless access to your account number, account name, and/or password was obtained through no fault or negligence of your own.
Privacy
Pokeroid is committed to protecting your privacy and the security of personal information you provide to us. Pokeroid will not sell, rent, lease or disclose user information to third parties unless required by law in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any content posted by you, or unless you provide consent to such a disclosure.
