I propose that the updates and bug fixes would be checked by the client when it's executed.
Or atleast a check for version should be done by the client.

This is a major issue in usability and quality management.

Automatic update checking will be implemented in the next version. The issue is that you will get a firewall message (if you have it the firewall enabled), and for the first version we did not want this since some users might get suspicious.

We solved this by adding "Check for updates" in the File menu.
