Great explanation of Pokeroid general purpose by Admin in another thread.
admin wrote:
Pokeroid is aimed towards players who like to play poker themselves. Just set your treshold of what hands you want it to save for you, and setup any exceptions - then you can lean back and relax - when you receive a good hand - or is on the button - pokeroid will beep and force the table on-top until you have made your move!
Pokeroid is a tool for you who want to make money playing poker. In order to keep winning in the long run, patience and the ability to relax are key values. Pokeroid is made to help you keep your winning-curve up. Probability and odds calculation will be added, as well as any other request that we consider to be good for the program.
With your continued support we will be able to add more features - if you have any suggestions please tell us in the "Suggestions for improvement"-section of the forum!
I wrote a post earlier about adding an advanced AI - this is of course possible - but we have to focus on making this program more and more usable before we start with an even bigger project.
Autoplaying bots must be considered more of a toy than a serious money maker.

When we can afford the time - we will add more poker sites. This project is currently running at a very low pace but it's atleast alive!

real rainman wrote: Pokeroid is reading the hands but the onl action it takes is fold. It doesn't raise or call raises. It just says time for action. Same thing post flop. Any advice?
I thought this was a bot that played no-limit?
admin wrote: Pokerois is not intended to take away the fun by playing for you completely. It will do the boring work - throwing away the hands you do not want to play yourself. Future versions will also display odds and any other information our users want to see.
For it to be a winning No-Limit autoplaying robot, we will have to collect a _lot_ of hand history from our users and train an advanced AI. This might come to reality when our userbase has grown significantly. To begin with we want to create a very useful poker tool for those players who actually like to play poker themselves - and who might be living from playing poker, as we do ourselves.
In order to keep winning when playing online poker - patience and the ability to relax are key values. If the patience grows short, you might start playing hands that you would'nt otherwize. Pokeoid prevents you from making those expensive mistakes and helps you win more.
Pokeroid is an open project - and we are open for new ideas and new features. To suggest a feature - please jump to the suggestions category in this forum.

motolazr wrote: what do the fractions and % numbers mean. admin wrote: Hello!
The X/169 is your hand rank of all possible starting hands. There are 169 possible starting hands in texas holdem, so if you have a hand ranked 1/169 - you are holding AA. Open settings and click the ranking table button and you will understand it better.
The percentage is the probability to win with the curent hand from pre-flop.
More odds calculation will be done soon...
